“Dailey’s songs echo the gritty South from which they come, one full of love and heartache, success and uncertainty, winners and losers.”

— This is American Music

Doc Dailey has been writing and performing original music around the country for the last decade. Hailing from Muscle Shoals, AL, his sound has been described as Americana, Folk-Rock, Alt-Country, and Southern Pop. Doc often performs solo, but on occasion he is backed by his full band, Magnolia Devil.

His music has consistently been a favorite of bloggers and reviewers and has been given airtime on college radio, public radio, by Bob Harris (BBC Radio 2), and several other stations in the UK and Germany, as well a being in regular rotation on Sirius/XM.

Dailey has self-released 3 recordings under his own imprint, Southern Discipline, with all tracking being completed in and around the Muscle Shoals area of North Alabama in such legendary settings as FAME Studios and Wishbone Sound. His two latest releases were co-produced and recorded by Ben Tanner of Single Lock Records and Alabama Shakes.

Doc Dailey has performed alongside headliners such as The Civil Wars, Dylan Leblanc, Patterson Hood, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and has toured across the U.S. with acts such as Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Maria Taylor, and the mighty Alabama Shakes.

After taking some time off in 2013, Doc is putting the finishing touches on material for a new album and ready to hit the road in the second half of 2014.
